Week 2
Day 8
The Movie That Followed Me Home
I thought I was free from the darkness of my past—until I ignored the Holy Spirit’s warning and went to see a horror movie “just to make my husband happy.”
That night, fear came home with us. A dark figure stood in the corner of our room for three nights. My heart raced. I couldn’t sleep.
That’s when I realized: what you watch for entertainment can become an invitation for torment.
Deliverance isn’t just about casting things out. It’s about closing doors you never should’ve opened.
📖 Psalm 101:3 — “I will set no wicked thing before my eyes.”
Day 9
Hidden Things Under the Bed
Sometimes peace doesn’t come from what you pray out loud—it comes from what you quietly put away.
When God showed me the horror movies hidden under our bed, I didn’t argue or preach to my husband. I just boxed them up and trusted God to move his heart. Years later, he threw them all away.
That’s when peace returned to our home.
Deliverance isn’t just casting something out—it’s cleaning house. 🕊️
📖 Deuteronomy 7:26
“You shall not bring an abomination into your house…”
Day 10
Objects Carry Atmospheres
I used to think “it’s just a movie” or “it’s just décor.” But Scripture shows us that objects can carry atmospheres — idols, charms, and cursed items always brought destruction to Israel’s camp.
📼Today, our idols look like collectibles, décor, and “vintage” horror merch. We display darkness like art and wonder why our homes lack peace.
⚔️Cleaning house isn’t weird — it’s warfare.
📖 Acts 19:19 (AMP) “And many of those who had practiced magic collected their books and burned them in the sight of everyone.”
Day 11
The Cost of Ignoring Conviction
We Normalize What Grieves the Holy Spirit. The more we ignore conviction, the quieter His voice becomes in our lives. What once broke our hearts starts to feel “normal.”
📖 Ephesians 4:30 — “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
Day 12
What’s Living in My Home That God Didn’t Invite?
So many homes carry spiritual “guests” — music, movies, symbols, or décor that welcome compromise rather than peace. Ask yourself: Would Jesus feel at home here?
📖 Deuteronomy 7:26 (AMP) — “You shall not bring an abomination into your house… you shall utterly detest it, for it is devoted to destruction.”
Day 13
Deliverance Is About Relationship, Not Ritual
True deliverance isn’t in formulas or fear — it’s in friendship with Jesus. When His Spirit fills a space, darkness loses legal ground. Deliverance is not “chasing demons out” — it’s inviting the Deliverer in.
📖 John 8:36 — “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
You don’t maintain freedom by striving — you maintain it by abiding.
Day 14
Compromise Corrupts Discernment Before It Destroys Your Life
The first fruit of compromise isn’t chaos — it’s confusion. When you repeatedly ignore conviction, you dull your ability to recognize danger. Spiritual blindness is one of the most dangerous results of rebellion — because you stop recognizing evil as evil.
📖 Romans 1:21–22 — “For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him… their thinking became futile, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”
Losing discernment is worse than losing peace — because you can’t see when you’re drifting.
