Prayer to survive family gatherings

Father,

In the Name of Jesus, I lift up this family gathering, and I thank You that You have given me power over all the power of the enemy. Right now, in the Name of Jesus, I bind Satan, rebuke him and render him and his kingdom powerless over this day.

I bind the workings of all familiar spirits….spirits of sibling rivalry, jealousy, competition, the spirit of offense, touchiness, argumentative spirits, spirit of the mean man, all lying spirits, spirits that would belittle or embarrass.

I bind all spirits of rudeness, the critical spirit, harsh word and negative attitudes. I also bind and forbid to operate - all generationally inherited grudges and offenses and hard feelings from the past.

I call on mighty angels to stand at the door and strip each one who enters from all the baggage they are carrying with them from the past.

I loose upon each family member a fresh anointing of the Love of God and the Grace of God. i pray for Your manifest presence to be realized by each one in attendance. I loose upon them peace and I bless each one with love and laughter and new and precious memories to take with them when they leave.
